Dr. Cruickshank is a consultant neurosurgeon specialising in spine surgery, with a particular focus on minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques.
She treats the full range of brain and spine conditions including degenerative spine disease, tumours, trauma and complex spine reconstruction. She trained in neurosurgery at the University of the West Indies, Mona, and at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, where she also completed a fellowship in complex spine surgery, before specialising in endoscopic spine surgery in Germany. In February 2025 she performed the first fully endoscopic spine surgery in Trinidad and Tobago.
